Add coolant to the midway of the bottle cold.

As long as the coolant level is around the minimum/cold mark on the reservoir, you know the radiator is full and you're set for coolant expansion when the engine is fully heated. You'll see the coolant level rise to full/hot when this happens. If you're like me, a person with automotive OCD, you'll set the cold coolant to exactly the cold line, but for those who are sane, this really isn't necessary.
