Car died while driving and now will not start. What could it be?
I have a 2006 Nissan Altima that died while I was driving it down the highway, going about 60. There was no stall or stutter, the car just lost all power and then it would not start back up. It cranks but does not turn over. Ran the codes and got a P0113 and a P2A00. I have replaced the MAS and the Crankshaft Position Sensor as well as the spark plugs and boots. There are no changes. The car still will not start. Any suggestions?
It's either not getting spark or not getting fuel. If I'm not mistaken, it primes the fuel rail with pressure (check to see if it is) and then turns pump back on after the engine reports it's turning via crank sensor. So- do you have rail pressure when you turn the key on, but before attempting to start? If yes, you need to look at primary ignition next.
