What does an O2 sensor connector look like?

Asked by Matthew Sep 18, 2010 at 04:56 PM about the 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm talking about the part that connects the O2 sensor to its connecting port. My car did not come with one, and I need to buy one for a new oxygen sensor I got. Any links or pictures would be helpful. Thanks.

Well your gonna hate this - You need two for this application. One goes before the catalytic converter near the exhaust manifold and one goes after the catalytic converter. The harness for the front one near the exhaust manifold should be around the fire wall and should have 4 wires The harness for the rear o2 sensor usually fishes through the floor board - it should have 2 wires. Oxygen Sensor Front M04606037 $283.17 Rear M05269711 $174.08
