Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to know what is involved to remove the oil pan to replace the oil pump. Does the transmission need to come out for clearance in removing the oil pan? thanks to anybody who can advise me.

i don't think the transmission has to move. just remove the peek plates and disconnect the engine mounts. then lift the engine enough to get the pan dropped. it has been a while since i worked on one but i don't think you need to take the trans off.
