2001 Mitsubishi Galant gtz car acting like it doesn't want to take off and sputtering.

Out of nowhere my car has been having
problems starting up I mean it'll start but it's
sputtering and then once you take off its
running fine but every time I have to stop at
a red light, stop sign etc it hesitates and is
slow to take off but once it just going it's
fine but this happens every time.  The car
has always been silent and ran just fine this
happened out of nowhere

Sounds possibly like dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate.

I had the exact same problem on my GTZ. For me it was a dirty Idle Air Control valve. about a $30 fix.
