How long since timing belt was replaced? If not sure when it might be the issue. If you decide to change it make sure you install all new pullies and a new water pump to.

oops my pc sucks oh well before all that wait on the timing chain, my 94 is doing the same got it so it would run long enough to get manual control of the throttle and keep it running ,allowing me a running inspection, what i found was the mounting hole is egg shaped the who;e thing swaying back and forth i may fix my problem in the ten min. it takes to switch them out. will let you know.my point is,it would seem logical to repair the simpler obvious problems before starting a fairly invasive procedure that may not even be needed.making calculations about how long a part will last without factoring into account the variables such as,scheduled fluid changes, suspension care even drivers driving habits. Believe what people tell you based on less than accurate data? hear what the diy owners have learned through experience, do you know how many perfectly good cars are in the junk yard because manufactures refusing to acknowledge their design flaws especially flaws that are more expensive to repair.sorry but people who work hard deserve to buy a product that is sound
