Stereo code bypass (aftermarket stereo installation)

Asked by Blamber666 Mar 02, 2021 at 01:27 PM about the 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 01 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4.
I bought a JVC radio receiver (Bluetooth/aux)
I’m installing a sub/amp in my car. I have the
stereo put in, have the wire harness and
everything all hooked up. I placed the stereo
into the dash and it will not turn on. Does the
Mitsubishi stereo code have something to do
with that? And or how do I bypass the code? So
I can use my aftermarket stereo... please HELP!!

I seriously doubt the factory code has anything to do with your issue. Check for power to your new stereo.
