If your timing chain guides and
tensioner Bell will it break the piston
shaft and can you see the broken
piston shaft when you check on a
timing chain failure

Piston "shafts" are internal to the engine and cannot be seen from the outside.

If you break a rod there will probably be a hole in the oil pan or in the side of the block.
