Why does Drive, 2 or L work in my 2001 Crown Victoria

The Drive, 2 or L dont work in my 2001
Crown Victoria, the reverse work
strong, and park works as well. I tried
changing the Accumulator, but nothing
happened, I really dont want to see this
car go this way, i've had it for 4 years
and its my first car...ill try anything
please and thank you.

You probably need to have the transmission rebuilt. Have a transmission shop look at it.

They said it could be the front disc clutch, but they wanted to charge me $1400 for labor alone, or $500-600 for labor if I got a transmission
