The trunk hatch won't stay up.

Sounds like you need to purchase new lift supports. They are the shocks on the each side of the hatch. They wear out over time. Any auto parts store will sell them. Maybe sure you get the proper size for your vehicle. Easy to install with a flat head screwdriver and a friend to hold the hatch while you do it. Replace one side at a time, the hatch is very heavy.
