Fuel problems

Only getting 42 psi at the
fuel rail and it wont start
unless I spray starting
fluid in it , then it just dyes
out , what's the problem

I looked at info for your vehicle, 3500--5.7L engine. Fuel pressure 60--66 psi, key on engine off. If low fuel pressure, the problem usually on the supply side, fuel filter--fuel pump. If you have that spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. Any applicable trouble codes?
