Truck dies when I put it into drive

98 Ford explorer starts fine. On occasion when I
put it into drive it dies happens about once a week
for last month, if I try to start it back up it does fire
back up, if I let it sit over night it'll fire right up the
next day and I won't have any problem with it again
for a while. What may be causing this?

Torque converter clutch solenoid is going bad that is if vehicle is an automatic.
