Ford Escort 1998 no spark

I have 1998 Escort 1.6 Zetec. The engine turns over just fine but there is no
spark. Also the red light at the clock is dead, When I plug a diagnostic blue
tooth adapter in the diagnostic socket the adapter does not pick up the car but
some relays click the red light comes on and the car can start. Any advise?

I'm taking a wild guess and going to say bad ground to pcm

I have the same exact same problem even up to the Bluetooth adapter. How do I check the ground to the pcm?
