i have a ford taurus no keys can i bypass?

hey so i have recently perchused a 1999 ish ford taurus from a buddy who
was just devorced. his x wife "lost" both sets of keys, is there a way to bypass
the key and chip? is it as simple as going to kenny upull and buying a new
egnition and key and putting it in? not wanting to spend lots of money as car
will be used for a demoliton derby?

With the factory setup you can't bypass the theft system, it would require programmed keys.
If you have lost both keys, then you only have two options: take the car to the dealership or call a locksmith to reprogram to the to the PATS (passive anti-theft system). However, if you have access to a tuner or chip, you can turn off the PATS, but then you'd be investing more money than necessary. Especially since its going to be a Destruction derby car.
You've probably found a solution already but when the chip reader malfunctioned in my '98 Buick Lesabre, a friend of mine was able to bypass the system for me by installing a resistor to fool the computer into thinking it was still reading the chip.

And I have the same problem key weird no chip car won't crank I heard of a braids to bypass the switch I don't know if it works but I'm going to try
