Throttle/pedal Position Sensor low input

Asked by Guru9Q4VYF Feb 16, 2022 at 01:52 PM about the 2004 Kia Amanti FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am getting an error P2127, Throttle/pedal position Sensor/Switch "E" circuit
low input. I was told by a mechanic that it needed a new pedal position
sensor.   However I want to check whether the sensor is getting the 5V it
should to both its circuits.  This sensor has an 8 pin male connector.  Would
anyone know which of these pins are the two ground and the two 5V
terminals? Please share diagram if possible. I checked that a pair of the pins
gave around 5V but another pair gave around 2.5V, but I'm not sure I was
looking at the right pairs of pins. If it helps the sensor is part 35357 39700.

1 Answer

of course the voltage was checked on the unplugged female cable that connects into the sensor.
