BMW Series 530i - RHS Exhaust flapper valve staying closed.

Its ARW back again, following my question for the BMW Series 530i exhaust
on the RHS remaining closed by the vacuum operated flapper valve at idle. I
still find this very strange that when i have driven the car for quite some
distance, roughly 20 kilometres that the exhaust on the RHS is still closed
(cold to touch). I have tried operating the car in Sport mode, hard accelerations
etc... and this makes no difference. Are there other conditions that must be
met for the valve to operate to the open position. Maybe the valve is faulty and
I need to have it checked  by BMW. if you can advise further, i would
appreciate it.

Dear Jim, Thank you for taking the time for both researching this for me and for your answer. For sure I will go to BMW and have this checked out, as I think that this flap or perhaps the vacuum system does not seem to be operating as you have described.
