There's a feature on the instrument cluster for turning the headlights on whenever the engine is running..it's probably set for this... look in the owners manual and see how to disable and turn off the headlights.... when I went across the USA... I decided to leave my headlights on for safety.... it's not a big deal..and you'll never forget to turn them on...as soon as you turn off the engine they go out. If you disable the feature and turn on the headlights manually.... you will hear a chime telling you that your headlights are on whenever you turn off the motor. Your choice.
