if i go through stop and go traffic, my cherokee sport doesn't overheat but if it gets up to the 210 mark and turn it off, it won't start. if i sit in traffic too long, it just shuts off. what would cause this? checked all the things you might think would cause it.
Here are the sensors I have had create this problem: Throttle position sensor Crankshaft position sensor Coolant temp sensor MAP sensor If you checked those, you have an interesting problem. Did the check engine light ever come on? If so, did you get a code from it? Do you have the 2.5 or the 4.0 engine? How is the timing? (make sure you disconnect the ECM before checking the timing)
