At issue when coming to stop

Asked by Cory Apr 14, 2021 at 05:00 PM about the 2000 Honda Accord Coupe LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So got new engine and tranny and didnt notice at first since
I haven't driven it in a while, but when I am coming to a
complete stop I can hear and feel the trans jump and clank,
it lurches a bit. Never come across this issue before and
can only think of syncro gears not engaging and
disengaging correctly, mind you this is an AT. Any help
would be much appreciated, thanks everyone.

New engine and trans? Who installed it? Did the shop have a chance to fix their work? OR did you replace your parts with used ones?

It's not something the mechanic did, its internal on a jdm engine and tranny combo, they just did a swap, everything runs great, just not when I come to a stop

Take it back and have them diagnose the issue. Motor mounts loose? Low fluid level? Throttle body issue and or shift linkage?
