1999 Mustang V6 overheating

Asked by Guru6L4DB Mar 19, 2020 at 03:35 PM about the 1999 Ford Mustang Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the thermostat and radiator cap
hoping it was a cheap fix. Still overheating. Left cap
off radiator and let it run with the heater on for 10
mins and no issues. Placed the cap back on and it
started to overheat right away. Suggestions?

Cap is nice and tight, but I’ll check that again. Any suggestions on purging cooling system? Also reservoir is full, but it doesn’t look like it’s being circulated back into the radiator. No leaks anywhere. Could air in system cause this? Thanks!
