what is making my charging system shut down after about 60+/- sec. of running ?

my alt. is good , wires are good ! idk ,help!!!

alt. has no fuse on unit. The charging system is working for the first min. or so! but then it trips something , & the guage drops from a charge to no charge reading & light comes on! if i shut it off & restart, it will charge for the first part again ! and so on ........

If any fuses in that circuit were bad it wouldn't charge at all, so that answer doesn't make sense. (1) Load-test the battery to see if it's failing under charging/load. If that's OK, plug a computer into the bus and get the error code. It could be the PCM, the voltage regulator, the battery temp sensor, the alternator decoupler, or a bad ground. I don't know which of those your Jeep has without knowing the year, model, engine and trans type.
