Temperature gage

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport . Runs
good. But when you go around 5 miles the
temperature gage will max out and the alarm
will sound , go about 5 more miles and
everything will go back to normal . The motor
does not over heat. I have replaced the
temperature sensor but no luck. Please help

The motor does not over heat at any time . I have changed the thermostat and the temperature sensor. It has got to be some kind of electrical or sensor issues, but what?
