Jeep engine dies without gas

The battery died so I recharged it. The jeep starts
but immediately dies without me giving it gas

If you can get a code reader on the car, that might help. Mot common causes for your problem are idle air control valve system, MAP/MAF sensor, faulty ignition coil, and maybe the fuel pump or its relay.
