Honda Civic will not unlock

My car would not unlock.remotely or
manually.the dealer said they have
never heard of both issues going on at
once.normally if remote battery goes
dead,atleast the manual key will work.
But with this issue neither work

If there's damage in the driver's door that caused a fault in the locking mechanism, you'll get your results. Have the mechanic investigate; I think he'll find a defect inside the door.
