2017 RAM 6.7 Cummins.

Asked by Wade Dec 11, 2022 at 04:29 PM about the 2017 RAM 2500 SLT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2017 RAM 2500 Cummins.  Engine dies when
slowing to a stop or turn under 10mph.  Deep
throaty sound comes from what I think is the
turbo or turbo area right before it dies.  Restarts
and drives fine after until stopping or turning
again under 10mph.  No check engine lights or
codes as of yet.

Turbos wear out and need rebuilds periodically , you could possibly get away with a simple kit of gaskets and seals , an afternoon and a couple of beers and be done with it . Your experience may differ .
