2017 traverse hard to start/ stutter when first started/no codes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 17 Traverse that is having an issue starting, it is random as well.
When I turn the key to start it, normally it starts within a second or two, now it
is turning over serval times and either doesn't start or if it starts it will stutter
and sometimes turn off or will start and be ok.   I have noticed if I get it
cranked and it is stuttering, if I press the gas and rev the engine it will start
acting right.  Sometimes it will just die too.  I have a basic code reader and
nothing is popping up on it for a code.  I have no idea what it could be at this
point.  There is no power loss when driving and it does this randomly but is
occurring more frequently.

This sounds like fuel delivery problem, first thing I would do is have a live data test ran on the vehicle overnight cold so the tech can see what happens and when. Now it could be a weak fuel pump so the fuel trim will show that.

I would like to try and fix it myself, rather than go to a shop, as of right now. I'm a pretty good mechanic but I just cant figure out where to start here!

Then get the equipment to test fuel pressure and delivery, and also a decent scanner with live data capabilities and all the charts to check sensor values.
