Car engineers really went overboard in controlling electrical charging; likely to get the government off their backs and comply with CAFE standards. You have mode settings, like Hybrid and Value Charging, and charging profiles that you can set to your standards. Read the owners manual or go to Ford to read it. That describes all you can do to personalize your settings.

Cars aren't what they used to be. Now you have to be a mechanic, comp0uter programmer, electrician, soothsayer, and magician.
