1994 chevy1500 oil leaking around filter

I change my oil but there is a leak around the
filter. Its not the filter its what it goes on to
leak is bad.

what engine... 350.... is there a sending unit there? oil filter gasket/o ring pin hole in filter...had that once...fram... valve cover gasket leaking down... ?????

Old gasket most likely was stuck to the engine, Gasket on the new filter now can't make good contact. Remove and reinstall the filter and make 100% certain there is no remaining old gasket on surface. Happens more than you would expect.
