Replacing the Rear Speakers in a 1998 Chevy Extended Cab

Asked by PickupMan95 Mar 27, 2017 at 03:29 AM about the 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne Extended Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Chevy Extended Cab that is only a 2 door, and both speakers
need to be replaced. The backseat needs to be removed to get to the
paneling, and with the truck only being a 2 door it will be a chore. Can this job
be done on a "Do It Yourself" basis, or should I have a pro do it?

If you are a patient guy, with some mechanical abilities, you can do this. But it would be a lot faster if you had someone do this, as they would have the special tools for getting the panel off.
