Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 93 Chevy c2500. It got a little bit hot
and it died at a stoplight and it wouldn't start
till the next day so I replace the rotor cap
and distributor cap, it still won't start so I
was checking around the starter down
below and the positive cable was cracked
pretty bad. Could that be what made it die

What is a little bit hot? Getting hot is not good. What is the problem, is it that it will not turn over when trying to start? It sounds like the positive cable is in bad shape. Depending on how bad it is, yes it could make the engine die. Definitely replace the battery cables.
