I’m having problems with my 1980 Firebird

I’m having problems with my 1980 Firebird, once
started and i shift the car into drive, the tires will not
spin at all, then when i put it in reverse it comes
back with the same results(a month or 2 ago it
would reverse but no drive) i have no idea what the
problem could be and have searched and searched
and cannot find a youtube video that describes the
same symptoms that my car is showing. it is also
good to know i have a auto trans and the car sat in
a field for 15-20+ years. anyone have any advise as
to what should be done?
