your car is governed and not all "upgrades" will make your car go faster. I would suspect your tranny is in need of replacement or your upgrades are not done right. I see this all the time. I get 2-3 cars every month or so like this. Get your tranny tested and ask the dealer wwhat your car is governed for.

Most dealers wont remove the governor, it is a goverment law, but if you get a hold of a few "speed shops" they might know someone, But remember this modification is for track use only... wink wink, you can use it one the street. I know there are some re-progammers out there, You drive to the track, hook it up, and it removes the governor and make a few other changes, then when you leave, you re-program the car back. If you get a hold of some ford mustang "forums" on the web, they should be able to point you in the direction of the programer.

could be, but my suspicion is that the computer is governing your car [mine had the same prob. and all i did was get an sct tuner] problem solved! btw i had the same prob on a 5 speed car! sct tuner cured IT as well...

yeah prob ur governer... your mods should let the car go all the way to 150... but watch for the speed cameras .. lol .. thats a big one... almost any computer tuner (SCT superchips Diablo) will be able to remove the governor or reprogram it for a higher speed ie 300 mph... hehe... ull be racking up the really big tickets in no time...
