Gas mileage down to 50%

Asked by Fboland3466 Dec 09, 2020 at 08:37 PM about the 2013 Jeep Patriot North 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My gas mileage suddenly decreased to around
50% but has remained this bad for over a month
and hasn’t dropped. I had to replace my air filter
because there was oil in it (this only happened once
and it hasn’t reoccurred)and for some reason and
my spark plugs were completely worn down when I
got a tune up and check up even tho they were fine
two months ago, even after the tune up mileage is
still 50%. I recently noticed my cars has been
burning oil extremely fast too for a new car. I
checked and my PCV valve is fine and so is my
head gasket and air filter. Any help or thoughts on
what could be causing this?
