Why doesn't the heater work in my 2004 Elantra?

I recently replaced the thermostat and inlet elbow hose from the engine to the water
pump. The inlet hose to the radiator heats up, but the radiator outlet hose stays cool. The
engine temperature is normal, but with the radiator cap off, the antifreeze wants to spew
out. I have driven the car after servicing and refilled the radiator, but to no avail, the heater
still doesn't work. Could this be an air block, radiator problem, or a heater core problem?

Likely air is trapped in the system. Open the bleeder valve and refill.
I have a similar issue with Hyundai elantra 2003 gls, 140k. it was overheating so we replaced almost everything, from thermostat housing to thermostat, radiator, water pump, timing belt and head gasket. After doing all this stuff, the hot air stopped working which was working before the mechanic took apart everything. he said the front hose is getting hot the one from radaitor but the one from engine to air system is not getting hot, at this point he disconnected the ac cable. what should be wrong ?
Most likely you have a clogged or partially clogged heater core. While doing all that work to the coolant system some calcification deposits may have been dislodged and traveled to the heater core and created some kind of blockage!
Coolant level is low. Air trapped in heater core and hoses. Needs burped and more coolant added.
