Battery draining

For a battery has been
dead each morning when I go out
to start it..I've had the battery
checked and alternator several
times and the readings are
good..but the battery keeps dying
at night.. One mechanic called it a
phantom short...well the shop
charges 150.00 an hour..any ideas
on where this short may be so I
can save some money...

You probably have a battery drain, not a short. You can find it using an amp meter and by pulling fuses one at a time until the draw stops. $150 an hour is really high, higher than a lot of dealers charge so you might want to shop around if you don't want to DIY. How to ------
