Honda accord 1995 LX automatic

Wondering whats wrong with my car. When i try to start it
up it turns but then shuts off again. So in order to get it to
start i had to turn the key back to starting position then i
turn the key again to start it up it turns then i rev the gas
and it stars up. Then when i get it to start up and i start
driving it dies out mid drive and the engine light comes on
so i throw it in neutral and try to start it back up and it
starts back up and the engine light turns off. If anyone can
give me some feedback it would be very much
appreciated.
