Seized Bolt On Water Pump

Asked by John Jan 19, 2019 at 06:24 AM about the 1995 Honda Accord EX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A neighbor guy said he was tired of messing
with his old honda and was going to scrap it
if someone didn't buy it. So I bought a 95
Honda Accord Sedan SOHC 2.7L V6 with a
bad water pump for $100. The next week
my brother in law and I attempted to remove
the water pump but with little to no prevail.
My bro tried a torch wrench, then managed
to bend three steel wrenches, and then we
tried the torch wrench on more time,
nothing!!! We were using a little air
compressor for the torch wrench. Should I
try higher psi/a large air compressor with
the torch wrench, should I hit the bolt red
hot then use the torch wrench, or should I
just give in and take it to the shop? I'm just
hoping for any little tricks that can help me.
                                        Thank You,
                                                    John Claussen
