Trying to figure out what is wrong with my car so I can fix it

I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe it's automatic and I
can't get it to shifting gears it gets stuck

So I take it that the shifter gets stuck in park? If that the case then the interlock is most likely the cause, check the owners manual for the override location and use that until you can get your favorite shop to check it out. If your going to try and fix it yourself you will need the vehicles repair manual with the manufactures electronic section.
