help me with my baby 96 honda accord plzzzz

hey guys I have a 96 Honda accord lx 2door 4 cyl automatic. lately ive notice my temp gauge rises while driving and sometimes when I come to a stop. I usually need to turn on heater to lower it back down. I checked the fans they work and checked radiator is full and reserve tank as well and there both new. I already took cap off and ran engine to release air pockets still nothing. any ideas?????? I really don't wanna drive with heater on just to keep temp gauge slowly rising and rising

you might have a bad head gasket. you can perform a combustion leak test yourself by purchasing a kit at the auto parts store for about 50 bucks, or you can take it to a shop and they can use an electronic "sniffer" to determine if there are combustion gasses present in the cooling system.
