Does Subaru make a sporty type car?

Asked by GuruH7S5 Apr 21, 2017 at 12:37 PM about the 2013 Subaru BRZ Sport-tech RWD

Question type: General

I'm considering getting a used car with good gas mileage.  My husband wants me to get a Subaru but I'd like a convertible.  Is there any Subaru made that might satisfy both of us?

I don't think Subaru has ever made a convertible. The BRZ is not AWD but rear wheel drive.

Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, or Toyota 86 are the sporty offerings, These car's all share the same platform of 2.0L engines, rear wheel drive, 2+2 seating if that's what you're looking for. They are coupes, not convertibles so that's a trade off but they are fun & excellent drivers cars. Excellent mileage, they are meant to be driven so you can bury the accelerator & still average 32-mpg. Have one for sale on here if you are interested.
