Question type: Maintenance & Repair

97 accord. Replaced ignition switch. Can hear
a relay click when turning key to any position.
Number one position, hear a click, no dash
lights radio anything, number 2 position
battery light on dash. Only light on dash, no
gear indicator or fuel gauge. When I turn to
start I hear relay click but start will not turn, or
start. I have no power windows, sunroof,
radio. However the Key chimes, horn works,
headlights and hazards. I can also hear the
fuel pump. Any suggestions?

Update: I now have all dash lights turned out to be fuse. Replaced 80a battery fuse, 50a ign fuse, and 10a back-up light/meter fuse. Relay still clicks. Won’t turnover.

Update. Replaced. battery terminal. Main relay. Car will turn over. Been sitting a period of time. Starts then dies and will not restart for awhile. Replaced ignition wire set. Spark plugs. When removing spark plugs I found significant oil on the plugs. Replaced valve cover and spark plug tube seals, including the ones under the rocker assembly. Starts and runs great. Occasionally the 10a Meter/back up light fuse will blow and I’ll lose dash lights. Which also will not allow the car to start. It also flashes a check engine light for a second and d4 light jus before it starts. Car is stuck in gear unless I push something into the shift release. Anyone know what would cause this? Other then that I’ve been able to track down my other issues

I had this issue, no starter motor, no power windows/locks/radio, but cig lighter and chimes ok, could hear relays when turn ignition. Turned out the battery was nearly dead. I think maybe when the voltage gets too low the ICU looses power and gives this set of symptoms so test battery first then fuses related to ICU then ICU.
