I have a 1999 Honda passport. the transmission fluid is leaking out from a sensor located on the right side of the transmission (drivers side) It seems to be connected inside of transmission. can this be fixed without having to drop the pan.

can you not simply hand-tighten it to stop the leak? are you sure the sensor is not cracked letting the fluid out..you may want to get in there with a frothy brush and good rinse to make sure that you don't need to replace this sensor...and tightening it a scoach doesn't solve your problem~
