2003 Chevy Tahoe z71 transmission

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The auto part of my transmission went out. it will not go, but If I put it in first or
second gear it will run, I can then shift it to 3 or overdrive and it will drive find
until I come to a stop then I have to put it back in the lower gears to get it to
go.

I drove without reverse for a couple years one time. Only got boxed in one time,
