Why won't my car start?

I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue, it wouldn't start tonight when I was trying to go to
work. It was trying to turn over but kept chugging not fully starting. I replaced
the battery this passed fall.

Were you able to jump start it? My initial go to is check the battery/charge it and also test the alternator.

Could be a good battery but the alternator is not charging the battery. If you dont have a (MM))multi meter get a cheap one. https://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-digital-multimeter-63759.html Red peg goes to red hole on MM and black peg goes to black hole on MM Set to 20DCV Red probe from MM on red positive battery terminal and black probe from MM to black negative battery terminal, save number reading from MM. Turn on car redo same test with car running. If alternator is charging the battery MM should read 13.8v or more with numbers climbing if battery is low. If MM numbers dont climb or below 13.8 then remove alternator from car and have local auto parts test alternator for free.
