my 2009 Nissan Rogue revs too long and too fast when I start my car.  Why?

bad thermostat, vacuum leak, dirty intake air sensor... can be a host of reasons, start by checking and cleaning all filters and sensors, check PCV and EGR, a scan tool can be a huge at startup to see what if any sensors inputs are out of line or missing.
