2003 Honda accord lx 3.0l v6

My battery light came on one day and wouldn't
start after so I replaced my alternator and battery
and it seemed to work for about a week and then
the light came on again and stayed on for a couple
days getting me to and from work no problem and
the I went to order positive battery cable to replace
and car died again. replace positive cable jumped
car car started and died out a few seconds after
removing jumper cables

It sounds like you have a parasite draw, which is a short somewhere in your vehicles electrical circuits which is drawing current from he battery, If you check the voltage of your battery now, what is it? It should be close to 12.5V if it is new.

With cables connected testing at between 7.6 and 9.6 disconnected it's slowing charging itself back up
