My 2016 dodge charger has the check engine light
on. The engine is skipping but it's not making any
noises such as knocking or anything. It started
yesterday and I checked the oil and sure enough it
had run out. I'm wondering if it has sludge or grime
but I'm still worried because it seems to be getting
worse. I also changed the oil in it in hopes that it
would resolve the problem but the problem
persists. Any advice?

The CEL means there are trouble codes waiting to be read. Your local auto parts store can read the codes. Write them down and post them here. Hint. Check your oil level more often!
