Engine shuts down if I hit the ignition key accidentally

The engine on my 2016 Ford Fusion shuts down if I accidentally life my leg and it hits the ignition key. This has happened three times at 70, 70, and 40 mph. If I turn the key, the engine comes back on and it proceeds as though nothing happened. What's going in?

Sounds like a issue with the ignition switch.
Thank you - and sorry for the typos... it's "lift" my leg, of course and it's "What's going ON."

Sounds like a problem you are causing by turning off the key with your knee
Thank you for the reply. Yes, that's the problem, but I would think there would be some kind of lock on the key to prevent such an occurrence.
