Can a Mazda 6 front radar be replaced?

Asked by Guru9X65HG May 26, 2021 at 08:15 AM about the 2016 Mazda MAZDA6 i Grand Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My front radar sensor broke (the one that's under the front badge). Now I want
to get this replaced with a used one. The sertified service told me that i MUST
buy a new one (north of 1800usd), otherwise it's not going to work. How true is
this?

The proximity sensor or adaptive cruise control sensor? Those are expensive and need programming and setup to work properly. Sometimes a days worth a labor. It can be quite expensive as you found out. Try getting other quotes.
