2015 Ford Edge Transmission issues

Asked by Guru9ZPDG2 Dec 14, 2020 at 10:14 AM about the 2015 Ford Edge Titanium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The problem with the shift solenoid is failing? Car
shield and other warranties do not cover electrical
parts. Why Ford has not issued a recall? The cost
of the repair at Allen Vigil Ford in Atlanta is $2200.
I am completely fustrated.

A recall is usually for safety items, like seat belts and airbags, not failing parts. I understand your frustration. Just search 2012 Ford focus transmission problem and it will give you an idea on the magnitude of that trans issue that ford still won't take responsibility for.
